And not only that, twerking itself is a deep perversion of African dance movements that are not inherently sexual in nature. Twerking takes one movement, isolates it, and repeats it over and over. There is nothing “Black” about it, like Shannon insists. It is a distortion, borne out of hip-hop, an industry that hypersexualizes women, in disgusting and disturbing ways. Twerking is inappropriate for women and most definitely for children. Anyone seeing children twerk should be disturbed.
