And the same thing, the ego simply is capitalism, in collective form, and taken to its extreme. The ego consciousness is deeply concentrated in capitalism. Capitalism is entirely based in ego consciousness-me,mine, self- to the exclusion of everyone and everything else. With the ego, the self must come first. With capitalism, profits (for the self) must come first.

This exaltation of self above all else, eventually must take a destructive turn…because it follows that all that is not self must be destroyed…and that’s where we are with capitalism. It is trying to destroy EVERYTHING that is not “self.”

And what is self? It is nothing. It is an illusion that doesn’t even exist.
