Live in the Moment and Fear Not
Are you afraid? Well of course you are, probably. Why in the hell wouldn’t you be. The world is going to hell in a hand basket. It’s been doing so for the last decade at least. You cannot engage any form of media, without being totally bombarded with some form of sick and crazy.
Day to day living is stressful. People can hardly ever tell where they will get their next job, their next gig, their next meal.
The food is toxic and expensive…the water is polluted. The politics of our country (of every fucking country on the globe) is totally fucked. And now this shit…a goddamn pandemic…that no land seems to fully understand.
The external world is a f*cking mess…and you can’t control it…so don’t even try it. That is really not what the task is at hand. I’m an everyday light worker, here to provide you with some basic light working tips on navigating this crazy world right now.
You have to go inside. You must. No. Try to figure what is going on inside you. That’s all that matters. I swear. Fear is totally an inside job. It starts from inside you. Where in the hell else would it start? Yes the world runs a whole hell of a lot of fear programming and paradigms, but in order for any of it to work it needs a receiver. The receiver is you. If you don’t want to be afraid, don’t receive the fear. Do not attune to it. Fear is a choice…and it is a choice you make. Fearful thoughts and fearful emotions lead to fearful actions. Fearful actions lead to a life filled with fear. But it all starts with you, and what you think and feel.
So how do you turn it around? How to make it stop? Live in the moment.
Live in the Moment
It sounds like a hokey cliché right. I hear ya. I thought this same thing for decades. All the woo-woo spiritual types say this nonsense, acting like the word isn’t insane! How can you possibly live in the moment in this world?
Oh trust. The spiritual types certainly understand how crazy this world is. They have studied the illusion that is the world, for years. They clearly understand that which most of us don’t…that it is an illusion that we are creating. When you live in the now moment you are escaping that crazy illusion. That is why they tell you to do that. They are trying to show you the way out. But you don’t buy it. And I get it, because for many years I didn’t buy it either. You are probably thinking:
Live in the moment…how in the hell can I! Are you kidding me right now? Look at all these problems I had to fight to survive behind me! And now? What the fuck! Just as I finish dealing with those old problems, I am staring at a bunch of newer, worse problems! Not enough money. Not enough healthcare! Not enough clean air! I have asthma! What if my mom gets sick with this crap? What if my kids gets sick with this crap! What am I gonna do?
Stop. Why would you want to think of all that stuff? Breath. Take a deep breath and clear all that crap out. Don’t you see what you’re doing? You are destroying your now moment by filling it with fear. So stop right now. Take a deep breath. Now take another. Okay for the hell of it, take three more.
Five deep breaths. Now tell me precisely what is happening to you right now. I’ll go first. Nothing is happening to me, really. Nothing at all. I am sitting her on the sofa in my living room. I am a little chilly, especially my feet. My neck hurts from typing all day, but all and all it’s been a good day. I just finished a good meal for dinner; and I made some fresh juice, with organic beets. It was delicious. This moment is good. This day was good. There is absolutely nothing I can complain about in this exact moment
Now see that right there! Do you see what I just did? I had no fear- about that moment. How did I do that? I mean real talk. I live in the same crazy chaotic world that you do. I am facing all of the same uncertainties as you. Economic uncertainties, financial uncertainties, health uncertainties, food uncertainties, uncertainties about the health and well being of family members. There is a lot of uncertainty everywhere. If you catastrophize it (think that the worse is going to happen), it will make you crazy and sick.
So here is what the hell I am not going to do - stress that shit ad nauseam. I am definitely not going to do that. That is absolutely the last thing that I need to do. That is the absolute worse form of self- sabotage (as well as sabotage of others I could engage in.) My mind would just break under the burden of all that. So will yours. You will remain in a constant state of fear and anxiety. You do not want to do that.
The mind is powerful. Say it with me - the mind is very, very, very powerful. We have to be very careful how we use it. Especially now. This is a time when, you want to put your mind to its very best use.
Energy, Frequency and Vibration
Energy - frequency - vibration. All of that. That is what your mind runs on. that is what the entire world runs on- just energy. I know we have been brainwashed into thinking it’s a whole lot of other stuff. (Money, politics, Instagram!) But ask a quantum physicists like Eintstein. Einstein straight up told us all reality really is is energy. Nothing else. We are all made of and what we do with our energy (based on how we think and feel) determines our reality. You can create a calm and peaceful world for yourself, free of fear. You just have to learn how to hone you energy, frequency and vibration. It takes practice. But here’s a start. If you want the world to be a kind loving place, for you, your energy cannot be fearful. Don’t think any fearful thoughts, and don’t invest in fearful emotions.
You get what you give…so make sure that the energy you offer to yourself and to the world is good energy. You do that, first by observing the quality of thoughts and feelings that run across your mind. Any fear-filled ones? SHUT THEM DOWN, immediately.
This can be very difficult for those of us who are heavily invested in and programmed in fear-filled paradigms. This is most of, especially those of us who have experienced trauma. But it can be done. SHUT FEAR DOWN. The easiest way to retrain your brain on this? Live in the moment. Take your deep breaths and only focus on the moment.
If you are not used to doing it, this will seem weird AF, at first. But all it takes is practice to master this one simple skill. We shall call it navigating your now moments.
Amazing Health Benefits
Navigating your now moment is one of the easiest, cheapest and best skills you can pick up to give yourself amazing health benefits in a time when we all desperately need them. Breathing deeply and clearing your mind of dense energies, provides amazing health benefits instantly. Start practicing this immediately. You cannot be stressed over the state of the external world. You cannot do anything about it by stressing it.
You can do something about it by going inside and strengthening yourself. When you are stronger, the world is stronger. You are apart of the collective! Do your part by ensuring you are doing everything you can to stay healthy. Your immune system needs to be tip-top right now. You alleviate stress to that system, by shutting down toxic thoughts. Breath in cleansing breaths every time you have a toxic thought. Wipe negative vibes out and clean them up…with the breath.
Fuck the external world. You cannot control it. Trying to control it will literally drive you crazy with depression, fear and anxiety. Depression about all the fearful stuff you remember from the past and fear and anxiety about what you can’t control in the future.
Shut the external world out. It is not your friend, and it doesn’t deserve any space in your head. It doesn’t deserve your energy, although it desperately wants it. Fuck that shit. Here is a little secret- the external world does not matter. It doesn’t matter nearly as much as we think it does. All that matters is you, the quality of your energy, your frequency, and your vibration.
Here is what I need you to do: create a wonderful, safe and peaceful place, in this moment inside of you. In fact, get really quiet and just say that to your self.
In this moment, I am creating a wonderful safe and peaceful place, inside of me.
Believe it. Say it repeatedly. (Think of it as brainwashing yourself, it works! If you say it enough you will believe it.)
You might think this is just woo-woo BS. But I’m telling you this is very, very, very important self-care that you need to do for your self. It is probably the most important thing that you will do all damn day. It is important because the internal creates the external. What kind of world are you going to create for yourself? A peaceful one, or a fear- filled one?
It takes practice, and if you want this to become a part of your state of being, you have to keep at it until it becomes more habitual and integrated into you. Start out easy. Take the Deepak Chopra 21- Day Abundance Challenge circulating on social media to begin training your mind out of a lack - scarcity- fear paradigm. Even if you don’t agree with it, or understand it, you will begin to see how the practice of an easy 10 minute mediation on abundance changes the tone and quality of your day.
If you successfully create a wonderful, safe and peaceful place, inside of you, you will create a wonderful safe and peaceful place outside of you. Word is bond. I promise you, I’m not lying to you. I have done it, time and time again, in my life, when shit has totally hit the fan. It was only when I created that peaceful place inside of me that I could get that crazy outside space to reflect that.
Peace is an inside job. So get to it. Live in the moment and fear not.
