Damn. I knew this was nonfiction because of the way it was written (only nonfiction can be that relentlessly bleak), but it is also compelling. Stories like this have to be told. We may not like them, but we have to face them. I feel like they’ve both been set free in the telling of this story. You had to tell it; and boy, did you ever.
