Meditating. It is so much easier than you think! Just don’t think!
In March of 2020, I ran the Deepak Chopra Abundance Challenge. Click here to access the master page to the challenge!
In this challenge, there was a particular focus on meditation. Meditation is not all there is to the challenge, but it was a major part of it. This is tricky because meditation kinda freaks people out and with good reason.
If you have never done it before, meditation is really uncomfortable for your mind. Meditation is the mind stopping, quieting down and being still. This is very difficult for our minds to do. Most of our minds have the attentions span of a three year old.
What exactly is meditating? A lot of people freak out about meditating…they don’t want to do it wrong…they want to get it right. They don’t understand the purpose of it. Be quiet and just sit there? What the hell for? (Not gonna lie, I’ve asked these questions.) What if they can’t stop thinking negative thoughts! (Not gonna lie, I’ve had these problems.) Oh no! Down the rabbit hole we go.
Just stop. Okay, don’t do that. Whatever you do for 10 minutes, is fine.
Do not stress the meditation.
Meditation is an experience and experiment with consciousness. Well what is consciousness? Consciousness is hard to describe…the simplest way I can explain it is being aware that you are alive. We know that we are alive when we think and feel, and use our five senses and our mind to process the world. We know that we are alive when we are doing things.
But the most basic and most important state of consciousness is at our level of being. We must simply be…and we should be comfortable in our being, (not thinking, not feeling, not doing). Everything expands out from the internal peacefulness of being. The goal of most meditation is to get to that state of just being. It is a powerful state from which to expand one’s consciousness.
Mindfulness is a way to easily get (I find) to that state of being. Mindfulness is about being very conscientious with what you do with your mind. In mindfulness meditation, you use your mind to be present. Being present is just experience what the present moment has to offer the five senses.
Do you see anything you like?
Do you hear anything you like?
Do you smell anything you like?
Can you touch anything you like?
Can you taste anything you like?
And, for the love of God, try not to think of anything too unpleasant. Try not to think of anything that will take you out of the present moment. This is the opposite of mindfulness. Mindfulness is being mindful about life in the moment.
For the Chopra abundance meditation, you are directed to close your eyes and lay down, so you have to focus primarily on that which you can hear (he does a really nice hearing experience with bells and nature sounds) and touch. Those two senses are enough for a very pleasant experience. You want this to be a pleasant experience. Be mindful of how pleasant the experience.
And so, after getting comfortable, breathing deeply and relaxing, make a promise to yourself that for 10 minutes you will percolate the idea that abundance is all around you.
When you do this, you are taking your consciousness off the hamster wheel and out of the rat race that is the lack-scarcity paradigm. If you can’t leave this paradigm forever, you can at least leave it for 10 minutes!
If you are new to meditation/mindfulness, this will not be easy. When we are caught up in a scarcity/lack paradigm we often find this very difficult to do. But pay attention. Pay attention. Pay close attention to how you are spending your mental energy (your thoughts, your feelings).
The Chopra Meditations
Every day, in the 21-day Chopra Abundance challenge, your one simple task that will be most beneficial to you, is listening to a Deepak Chopra meditation on abundance. These daily mediations are led by Deepak Chopra, a meditation master! Chopra provides a lovely meditation experience, with each mediation being based in a spiritual truth that is derived from ancient Hindu spiritual texts (Upanishads). It is very, very, powerful to meditate to the mantras of these ancient spiritual texts.
You only have to meditate for 12 to 15 minutes. It is incredibly easy to do this. This challenge has probably gone viral because of the way Chopra easily introduces the concept of meditation. If you listen to him closely you can’t fail to meditate correctly. It’s easy to listen to Chopra because his voice is soothing and hypnotic
Listening to Chopra’s instructions and following them is the easiest way to learn to mediate that I have come across. I have been at this, for many years. I have utilized many different methods. I have officially meditated in many places, from the Edgar Cayce Visitor’s Center to Buddhist Temples. There are so many different ways you can meditate, but Chopra’s method is very easy and accessible.
I am getting these Chopra meditations off You Tube. With that said, I must forewarn, they may not be here always. On You Tube, it is pretty easy to upload anything, and as long as one states the upload is for educational purposes only.
However, if there are any complaints about copyright infringement (or any random thing, really.) The video will be removed. But, if and when that should happen, the video will be uploaded again on someone else’s channel. Nothing can stop these very powerful spiritual concepts of abundance from spreading!
The Benefits of Meditation
Meditation is an incredible, multi-sensory, multidimensional skill, that anyone who wants to ascend to a higher level of consciousness should obtain. The first and best benefit of this challenge is that if you stick with it for 21 days and you will learn to meditate! This is a very powerful life-management tool, to have in your skillset! But the benefits of meditation are nearly endless.
Meditation relieves stress
Meditation improves concentration and focus
Meditation brings all kinds of health benefits to your body
Meditation is a spa for the mind
Check out the short video below to get a really quick summary on the many benefits of meditation.
But the most important thing about meditation from my perspective, is this:
Meditation clears 3D density and exposes 3D for the illusion that it is 3D.
3D programming is energetic and largely mental. We use meditation to bust those paradigms. However, when we bring this energy inside our bodies, it gets dense and becomes physical. When 3D energy gets stuck in our bodies it turns into a sort of black, goopy gunk. It makes us sick. It is in fact the cause of all disease and sickness. We must clear it out.
Clearing 3D Density with Meditation and Spiritual Lessons
In the Chopra Abundance Challenge, with meditation and focus on fundamental spiritual laws, we clear out cluttered, dark, dense 3D consciousness by deeply exploring the content of our minds.
What 3D lies do we feed our minds? How about we stop doing that, and fill our minds with spiritual truth? In this challenge, we attempting to learn very potent and powerful spiritual truths, and at the same time we are working very hard to unlearn very destructive and harmful 3D programming.
We place a lot of emphasis on learning how to use our minds in a spiritually correct manner. We do this by learning a few powerful spiritual truths each day, and engraining them into our minds. I have called this part of the challenge the Spiritual Lesson for the Day.
These lessons are a very important part of this three-week program. The reason we often find our lives so difficult, is because we have become so disconnected from so many very powerful spiritual truths. In the 3D matrix your mind has been programmed to block out all spiritual truth. You need to understand then, how resistant your 3D programmed mind will be to this new spiritual information being presented to you. Really resistant!
Please push through!
As with anything, practice and persistence brings about progress. The more you practice learning and understanding these spiritual truths, the more powerful your mind becomes!
ACIM teaches us that our mind is a very powerful piece of technology that never loses its’s creative force! Remember that!
Much love to you all!
