Thank you for bringing this little bit of truth to this comment section, where everyone else sees innocence and rainbows.
I once took a class “theories in mass media.” It was mind-blowing. But I’ll never forget the whiskey add, with a cartoon of naked adults chasing one another and the word SEX spelled in the ice-cubes in the whiskey glass. You couldn’t even see the image until all the color from the photo was removed…and yet this add caused the sales of this particular whisky to skyrocket to 300%.
Who is not gonna use that to their advantage? Well by now, (this as was run in the 1980s), that tactic has been used ad nauseam. I’m guessing it no longer works…got to try something new…apparently…this is it…it’s so innocent. Yeah right.
