The article actually says the same thing as I did, which is that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects people on certain bases. Under that law, however, he doesn’t have standing to sue because of the hat, at least not under the CRA. There could be another law, that would allow it however.

I agree that it’s wrong to make assumptions about someone based upon a hat. Kind of like, it’s wrong to make generalizations about an entire race of people based on FBI stats.

I always say give everyone the benefit of the doubt. The guy in in the MAGA hat could be the best guy in the world, truly. People are just complex like that.
