This guy sounds like a typical Trump supporter, one of them anyway. They all have their reasons for their deep, infatuation with the Orange narcissist, but for many of them deep hatred for anyone not white is at the core of it. And, these people are cancer and Trump, Fox News, Breitbart and the rest are sugar (which feeds and multiplies cancer cells exponentially.)

This is really not surprising, though. Just this weekend I attended my family reunion. We were staying in an Embassy Suites in Richmond. Anyone who has been to an Embassy Suites knows they have free food and drink, which is practically available to anyone who walks in.

My 70 year old mother, also at the Family reunion, observed a dirty man, elderly, obviously mentally unstable, storming through the lobby into the food court, making all sorts of demands while (here is the shocker) completely naked.

She said that the food court staff, sat him down, isolated him, sat with him, talked to him, appeased him with food and in my mother’s own words “treated him so gingerly.” Eventually he was removed by the police, again “so gingerly.”

I said, “Well, that’s good for Embassy Suites, and the police that they handled the situation so professionally.” And I was wondering what would cause Embassy Suites to have such humane protocols even in place? My thought was the man was homeless, as my cousin explained that this hotel had encountered problems with homeless people sneaking into their happy hour.

But the homeless people would have to be very stealth and clever about it, blending in with paying customers because most places will not even allow homeless people entrance to their establishments. I don’t know how they do it, but they have ways of catching and stopping homeless people before entrance is even an issue. And an organization that had encountered such a problem would seemingly be extra vigilant. So maybe this man wasn’t homeless, but just dirty, naked and confused.

What if someone had left him there? What if a family member, tired of caretaking, brought the old man to the Embassy Suites, checked him in and then left? That was feasible. But no matter how he appeared there, you really have to tip your hat to Embassy Suites, as well as the police for handling the situation masterfully. But still, it seemed odd. It’s certainly not the sort of thing we are accustomed to seeing. What gives? As I silently wondered My mother said to me, “yes, you’re right, but would they have treated a black naked man so gingerly?”

Ahhhhh. White privilege. That’s what was at issue. A white man, naked, dirty and confused is still going to get the benefit of the doubt and be treated like a human being. I think it would have been a totally different situation with a man of any other color.
