True, race and class are always at issue; and you can’t really separate them when it comes to certain political movements.
With regard to the drug economy in America it preys on the economically weak ferociously, because that’s the path of least resistance. First it went after poor minorities, next poor whites, but that drug economy is a greedy, greedy beast that will continue to follow the money. Having bankrupted the poorest communities, it has to move on to bigger prey.
It’s only now that the economically powerful are being attacked — there is substantial pushback — which is a good thing.
