What I am saying is that science is an industry made up of far more individuals than just scientists. Scientists much like artists, just want to do what they do. But they need funding, in which case, all of their actions and motivations get hi-jacked, by money-makers, who are solely motivated by money. When that happens, the scientists much switch their motivations to satisfy those of the money-makers, and that’s almost always at odds with that which will benefit humanity. So science, as an industry has no incentive to invest in personal empowerment. But basically when I say science, I mean the huge collective of people who make up that industry- not just the scientists. Scientists, much like artists, are easily exploited. The money makers totally control them, and thus, science, the industry, wants to make money off of people, not empower them, in anyway.
