Yeah I know about the broken windows-exactly that’s my point. You need to have people constantly fixing broken windows. A city is very different than a rural area. I live in a suburb with all sorts of diversity, and very low crime. Why? Because a suburb is different than a city which is totally different than a rural area. You are comparing apples to oranges 🍊.
But good points about community policing v. Traditional policing. There are solutions, you have touched on a few of them, but if you take a city like Chicago, that situation has been brewing for at least 50 years and it is apocalypse now. There are no easy answers.
